StarPuppy SG right now i am cleaning my table...i got lost of things that i want to throw but cannot bear to because - it once cost me $ ** (enter amount that u feel is alot) to buy this - i might use this again ( alto i never touched it for a loooong time ) - looks nice.. reused as a decoration in the house so how do u know when it is right to throw it away? or how do u shake off this habit? edit : from bbb post....how many of you have this "spring cleaning = fresh new start" mindset....how often do u do it?
FireIce SG me oso like tt accumulate a lot of junk one year oni clear once (during spring cleaning) must be bery determined to clear take one big trash bag.....just pick and throw, dun think twice......
Ferret SG I usually take one big bag whenever i spring clean. and then tell myself i have to fill this.
AndrewPKYap SG Put it all into a box and seal it up. Write the date on it and if after 3 moths you never open the box, don't open it and junk the whole box! If you opened it before 3 months, reseal and put in the new date.
browniebaobao SG this thread juz reminded me to clear up my wardrobe later.. i also always think it's v wasteful to throw things away.. but now im having the mindset 'old things dun go, good things wun come' im throwing watever that has been left too long or can no longer use le. throwing things away is also a way of telling myself to start afresh and move on.
SGpork SG 1 thing about me.. i dont think too much...keep or throw.. n i straightaway do it... so far...not much regards yet.
SGpork SG as long...i dont use it anymore.. i dont find it useful ...ill throw..put there only collect dust..n take spaces.. last time i always keep...then until 1 day i really end up with lotsa thing.. n been there for years nv touch... so now.. i just throw...no need think.
Ferret SG actually the qns i aask will be "can this fill the bag?" My room's pretty sparse by the way.
choco B SG Depends what is the item really - it once cost me $ ** (enter amount that u feel is alot) to buy this << Expensive but no use == no value, throw - i might use this again ( alto i never touched it for a loooong time ) << maybe can keep but only 1 piece per function - looks nice.. reused as a decoration in the house << throw. Decor is waste space - fren give wan got meaning << keep
